Certified by Los Angeles County to write 5150 and 5585, 72 Hour psychiatric evaluation holds for
Danger to Self, Danger to Others, and Grave Disability while in this capacity.

CIGNA Behavioral Health, Team Lead
(Note: Promoted within 2 yrs from Care Mgr to Lead Clinician, and then to Team Lead 3/05).
Directed, developed and organized Masters and PhD level clinicians for the company's Crisis Team
who handled this HMO's psychiatric hospitalization admit pre-certifications and utilization management.
Managed team's response and triage of health plan members’ direct crisis telephone calls for the 13 western state region.
Duties also included management of a separate PPO team of
Masters and PhD level clinicians,
who was responsible for managing the company’s western region PPO concurrent Psychiatric Inpatient utilization.
Supervised case consultations on all psychiatric hospitalization requests presented to the Crisis team,
and directed the company's provider crisis network diversions for member in crisis stabilization.
Successfully developed several innovations in team work-flows and procedures,
saving the company both staff time and money.

DMH contracted provider of intensive in home mental health wraparound services
for Medicare families/group homes, with children who had multiple psychiatric hospitalizations,
who were in danger of hospitalization or loss of placement.

directing all clinical treatment and compliance with DMH paperwork.

Responsible for weekly DIS therapy, manage daily crisis intervention, and weekly Anger Management Group therapy for
Severely Emotionally Disturbed students in a Non Public School setting.
